I have found that businesses that have a vision statement which is shared with their team are much more likely to succeed

A vision statement looks at where you would like to be in 2 to 3 years time

Here are some examples that other business owners have produced:

• I want a paperless office with my staff having the ability to work from any location
• I want to fully automate my business so that I can leverage turnover and profitability
• I want 24 new clients within the next 12 months with an average sales value per client of £4,500
• I want my turnover to reach £1,000,000 in 3 years and have an office in the City with 10 staff
• I want to be working 20 hours a week instead of 80 hours
• I want my business to run itself so that I can manage the team more effectively

Here is an Action Plan which I hope you find useful:

1. Write your vision statement – this should be no longer than 2 sentences
2. Share your vision statement with your team
3. Consider meeting regularly with 2 other business owners and share each others vision statement – this will help with accountability!
